Like Bluevelo.com and many other websites my ultimate goal is to sell you a Velomobile. What sets me apart is my belief in the concept that sponsors and advertisers will pay you more to ride a velo, than it will cost you to finance one. Velomobileblog.com is an informational website that embraces the spirit of human powered, zero emissions transportation. In 2010, I began working with my brother Ray Mickevicius, the founder and owner of Bluevelo, to explore the limitless potential of these amazing vehicles. He knew there was already an extremely dedicated and loyal recumbent trike and velomobile following, but what could be done to bring velomobiles to a more mainstream population? And so began www.velomobilepro.com, a fun and experimental website designed to think outside of the box for new and exciting velomobile applications. Through innovative programs to connect riders and sponsors as well as informational packages on how to find advertisers to fund your purchase we are looking to make these awesome vehicles affordable to everyone.
My goal for 2011 is to create an informative program that will guide you through the steps of finding sponsors and advertisers to fund in whole or in part the purchase of your very own velomobile. I will be the guinea pig and take you on my journey to use the heading turning potential of these beautiful and unique vehicles to its’ fullest. As someone who has always wanted to own a velomobile, but can’t really afford one, and who lives in a climate with extreme winters, I am the perfect candidate to show everyone that it can be done even in the most challenging of climates.
